Mealy Bugs This particular disease looks like a very small cotton wool bud and this is caused by mealy bugs. These bugs suck the liquid in the leaves and stems causing damage to them and if left untreated can even devastate the plant. 

Black Ring Disease The symptoms of this disease is when the underside of the leaves show black rings. This particular disease is caused by a virus. However the virus will not kill the Jade plant. The only way of treating this disease is by removing the infected leaves to prevent it spreading.

Powdery Mildew Jade plants can be quite often affected by powdery mildew disease. You can tell quite easily if your jade plant is affected by just looking at the jade plant leaves, if they are coated in a powdery White/Gray substance the plant is most probably affected by Powdery Mildew. Powdery Mildew is usually caused by fungus attacks. Make sure you jade plant gets about four hours of sunlight every day. Visit your local garden centre and ask them for a fungicide for your houseplant. They can help you find the right product for your plant. Make sure the fungicide can be used in treating a houseplant.

Brown Rot This is also a very common disease for a Jade Plant and is mainly caused by too much watering. You know if you have brown rot if a branch on your Jade Plant is very mushy and if this branch is cut away the inside is brown and wet. The only way to prevent Brown Rot spreading is by cutting away the infected area. If the disease has reached the roots you need to cut off the roots that have been affected and re plant in fresh soil.
